How to Export eBay Listings to Excel

It’s really important to us that we keep our business organized, from inventory to sales tracking, we want to make sure that we have all our ducks in a row.

That’s why we love being able to export eBay listings to Excel!

Each week we do an Excel CSV export of all our active listings so that we can use the “vlookup” function to compare with our main inventory spreadsheet.

Use can use this feature on more than just active listings.

You can even export your unsold and scheduled listings!

Below, we’ll show you how to export your eBay listings to excel and even a little update for a recent security issue with Chrome browsers.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Export eBay Listings to Excel

  1. Select your listings and open the bulk editor .
  2. Click the checkboxes on the right of all the items you want to export.
  3. Click on Action > Export to file .
  4. When the box pops up, click on Export to CSV (spreadsheet format) and then the blue Export button.
  5. Depending on your browser settings, you might have a box pop up where you can select the file location. Otherwise, the file should automatically open.

Don’t Have Microsoft Excel?

While you can use free services, such as Google Sheets, we’ve found that Microsoft Excel really is the best platform to use for tracking our eBay sales and inventory. It has the best functionality and does everything we need it to do.

Export eBay Listings to Excel: IMPORTANT UPDATE

Recently there has been some problems with exporting from eBay. When you follow the instructions from the video, you might find out that nothing happens.

Unfortunately, this is a security issue that eBay is having with the different browsers.

We have not been able to figure out a workaround for Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Edge. However, if you have Chrome, we have found a solution.

Step 1: Using the Chrome browser and in the eBay bulk editor, click all the checkboxes for the items you want to export. Then click on Action > Export to file just as you normally would.
